Empowering the Next Generation of Diverse Storytellers 

For over 30 years, YR Media has equipped young storytellers and content creators, primarily from historically underrepresented groups, to break into media and use their diverse voices to change the world. When YR Media came to Fundraise, they needed help securing major funding and growing their mission. We went all in, managing the full grant writing process and donor pipeline. Our team helped them raise over $10 million, securing major donations from The National Endowment, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Ford Foundation,and the McArthur Foundation. With this support, YR Media not only met their funding goals, but also expanded their leadership team, launched a Chicago Hub, and reached even more aspiring creators. YR Media continues to break barriers and reshape the media landscape, one storyteller at a time. We’re proud to play a supporting role in their success.
