The Birmingham Promise

The Birmingham Promise supports and prepares every Birmingham City School student to achieve economic security, mobility, and prosperity. They do this by providing high-quality work experiences in the form of internships and apprenticeships.

They also reduce the cost of post-secondary education for students from all academic backgrounds. They operate with a relentless student-centric and asset-based approach to ensure that all of Birmingham’s talent is connected to opportunity.

During our discovery phase, Fundraise collaborated with The Birmingham Promise team to identify key messaging priorities and audience segments.

We uncovered the need for materials that not only showcased the program's outcomes but also spoke directly to the values and motivations of their prospective donors. To address these needs, we developed a holistic communications strategy, ensuring alignment across all collateral.

We designed a case for support that framed The Birmingham Promise as an investment in equitable futures. The document combined data-driven insights with compelling stories from students and families to demonstrate the program’s impact.

Over the course of our partnership, Fundraise Inc. provided The Birmingham Promise with the collateral materials needed to support their work in cultivating institutional donors and local philanthropists. These funds will directly support tuition scholarships and expanded apprenticeship opportunities, positioning The Birmingham Promise as a leader in workforce development and educational equity.
